I have already decided....

Lately, when putting Reese down to sleep at nights, as we snuggle right before I say good night, she has started to say, “Let’s talk, what do you want to talk about?”. Yes I know, it’s a stall tactic, but I can’t help but stay and talk about whatever topic she wants to talk about…. Birthday ideas, favorite colors, friends at school … and tonight, “Why did God make the caterpillar so common?” I had no idea what she was referring to… then she reminded me of a book we have read by Max Lucado, called Hermie. Hermie was born a caterpillar and asked God why he was so common. God replied that he was not finished with him yet, he had a lot in store for that little caterpillar. So Reese and I talked about that. I told her that God has a lot in store for her as well. We also talked about how she needed to decide what kind of person she wants to become… and before I had time to explain, she said, “I want to become a mommy, just like you, Mommy. I have already decided.” 

Just like that.
