Typography Thursday

I am drawn to Typography. I enjoy learning about it and discovering what graphic artists create. Some of my finds have been alphabet-based so far. Maybe it's baby Reese, I have been trying to figure out her room and been searcing for alphabet artwork to hang. I saw this by Made by Girl that I want to order once the room is painted. Jen @ madebygirl will customize this with your own colors too. I love it! But back to the pics above. The top left Kids Alphabet pic was found on Etsy designed by LuckyPaperie. LuckyPaperie is a great site for invitations too!

The top right picture I have featured before. It's a pillow designed by Sukie, two UK designers. I first saw Sukie on Three Potato Four's site (on my sidebar to the right) where you can buy this pillow by the way. Then I have seen thier designs other places as well.

Below the pillow is a page out of Peter Blake's book, An Alphabet. He is best known for designing the Beatles album cover, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. This book has 26 new prints—one for each letter of the alphabet. Each visual interpretation is a collage of images from vintage cards, magazines and books, and the finished works are at once nostalgic and whimsical, humorous and fascinating. You can purchase this book and many others on Typography at UPPERCASE, a Canadian blog/website featuring all things typography.
The last Aphabet showing in the first picture are two tea towels I fell in lust with when I read about on Apartment Therapy (oh dee doh). Of course, the designers only made 50 of them and only sold 25, so needless to say, they are no longer available for sale. But I liked them anyhow...

And finally, below that is a print by Binth. Lovely serene letters.
