Still feeling good entering my 26th week tomorrow. I'm getting bigger, picture soon to follow. My back is feeling the effects of carrying around this extra weight. It's nice to know Reese is growing and developing, but my back is not appreciating the extra "Lb's". I go to bed each night with my massage and heating pad revved up. Speaking about heat, Im also sleeping with no blankets. Reese is a little heater in there keeping my body just the right temperature each night, so I don't even need blankets. I could use the fan at night too, but I know I'll freeze hubby who already uses 3 blankets. I have not figured out the best way to sleep with all my pillows, yet. Every time I wake up in the middle of the night, I am on my back. And as I discovered with this pregnancy, apparently I am cutting off blood flow to Reese when I sleep on my back. GREAT! So, back on my side I go and try to maneuver my pillows just right so I can fall back to sleep. I know these restless nights are just preparing me for the many restless night to come. :)
I'm feeling a new feeling around my upper ribcage... this pressure, like it's pushing some organ towards my chest, or maybe it's Reese kicking around for more space. What, she doesn't like her current digs? I'm not sure, but I find myself pushing whatever it is back down!
I'm getting the comments now like, "Wow, you look really pregnant!" or "You have really popped" or "You just keep getting bigger and bigger!" C'mon people, think of something better than that! What do I say back to that? "Yeah..." and just smile. I'm finding the kids I teach are suddenly more interested in my tummy than what I am saying. They don't look at my face anymore. But, they are really cute. All the girls ask if Reese is doing ok and how I'm feeling. :)
My next doc appointment is May 29th. So far, so good. I love feeling and watching her kick around. This has been a pretty great ride so far. I can't wait to meet her!
The pic is from Tiny Prints... If you happen to receive a thank you card from me that looks eerily similar, pretend to be suprised. :)
