If you have not tried this with your little ones yet, go out and buy some cheap shaving cream or just "borrow" some from your hubby. Grab a cookie tin or mark off a space on a table you can easily clean off and spray a big ol' gob of shaving cream, then let your little one dig in!

Reese really enjoyed this, tentative at first, then digging in. I added food coloring to the piles of gob to make it more fun. Then we made shapes, letters and numbers and Reese traced them with her little fingers.

This is a great activity for any age. It provides that tactile component students may need to learn to spell. Give it a try before the next spelling test! Have fun!
