cool baby shower

I helped host a baby shower this weekend of a good friend of mine, Sarah. It was one of the coolest baby showers because it was in a fabulous space. It was at The Seed Factory (no website yet) in Atlanta. Besides being a great children's store, the space was designed by Sarah's Architect husband. The Seed Factory is located in a converted warehouse in the Westside Provisions district of Atlanta. The store hosts story time, cooking and yoga workshops for kids in a multi-use room that opens onto a terrace via large steel doors and windows.
JCT Kitchen catered the meal. It was delicious! We asked guests to bring their favorite children's book to help build baby's library. We also had bookplates for guests to fill out and write a special message to baby and parents.
The weather was perfect to use the outdoor terrace space! We had the drinks outside. Non-preggers enjoyed champagne with pomegranate seeds.
We all enjoyed the elephant cookies in blue, yellow and grey that hung as decorations as well.
Everyone signed the chalkboard wishing Baby Blair and family the best!
The shower was a success. Sarah had a wonderful time and was happy. What more could you ask for?! We had a great time organizing the shower and appreciated the help of shop owner Rachael and manager, Jen. They were very accommodating and full of great ideas. I highly recommend stopping by The Seed Factory, it's such a fun shop! They have the cutest things and clothes. They also have story time every Saturday at 11:00. Don't miss out on their sister store across the foot bridge, Sprout. It's another stylish store!
