updates and ramblings...

Merry Christmas, Merry Christmas! I love our tree and the excitement surrounding Christmas, especially seeing it through the eyes of Reese. She loves Christmas trees and lights. This morning she wanted the lights on when she woke up... OF COURSE! Something about having Christmas lights on all day makes me smile. I'm glad Reese likes it too. She even likes visiting the tree department in Target to see the lights. We have an "Elf on the Shelf" this year. She named it, "Chew-ah" Yep, have noooo idea where that came from, but we are stickin' with it. Reese wants only glitter ballet shoes from Santa to replace the pink ones she has that are too small. That's all she is asking for.

We are working with Reese to be nice to baby brother. She gets jealous when I'm nursing Tillman and acts out. She loves to tell Tillman to "STOP"... "Stop Crying! Stop kicking! Stop looking at me!" She's a trip! We are teaching her that babies kick and cry and try to talk with us. We need to love on Tillman, not yell at him. Tillman actually loves looking at Reese and just smiles and laughs when she is around. Hopefully, we are encouraging her to be more patient with him. (ha, she's TWO!) But we don't want this behavior to become a habit with her little brother.

Tillman is getting stronger... he keeps his head up and even sits in his bumbo! Tummy time is getting longer and longer. He even rolled over a few days ago for the first time!!! He currently weighs 18 pounds. He's only 3 1/2 months! He's wearing 6 months clothes. I love it! He smiles all day long. Except two hours after he eats... it's like clockwork, he becomes fussy for a while, then calms down, sleeps, and wakes up ready to eat in an hour. Nighttime is getting better... he is sleeping for longer and longer stretches at a time. Pretty soon he will be sleeping through the night. My definition of sleeping through the night is not 5-6 hours, it's from when mommy goes to bed to when mommy wakes up! He's getting there. But a little part of me will miss waking up in the middle of the night spending that time with him.

We visited with my Aunt Kathy this past weekend. It was the first time she met Tillman. What a nice visit.
