I took both a real and virtual vacation from blogging for the last two weeks. The first week was just too busy and the second week we were fortunate enough to go to St. Simons. We ended our vacation by celebrating Reese's 1st birthday yesterday at the lake with Jim's family. It was a wonderful hiatus from the daily grind and much needed vacation. I'll tell you about it including pictures this week.I also start pre-planning tomorrow. BACK TO SCHOOL already! It's going to be a completely different year for me and I am excited and anxious at the same time. I'll also tell you about it this week.... when I find the time.... There is no possible way to set up your classroom and plan for the year in just 5 days. With all the meetings the school makes you attend, we hardly have any time in our classrooms to set up. I'm not complaining, it's just a fact. Hey, at least I am getting paid for it unlike my public school counterparts.

I totally agree with you. We are only getting one day in our classroom to prepare for the year and the rest of the next 2 weeks are full of meetings.
