getting ready for summer camp

Reese came into school with me this weekend while I was setting up for Summer Camp to begin on Monday. I am teaching summer camp at The Schenck School for the month of June. It's a half day camp that is all about strengthening reading skills. We try to make it as fun as possible for the students. They want to call it summer school, but it's really not. A lot of these kids have problems reading and we give them the tools to be more successful during the school year. They actually appreciate it and love it by the end of the first week. It's those first few days that's hard to "sell" to a kid. I'm looking forward to meeting my group of entering 4th and 5th graders tomorrow. :)
